Haiti is in turmoil. Even as much as it was right after the earthquake. But we cannot sit idly by and wait for government to help out, especially the Haitian government. We need to help out as much as we can. Charity:water has started a new project UNSHAKEN where 100% of the funds raised will go towards water projects in 11 areas in Haiti. Check out the clip above and help out if you can.
Singer/songwriter Sally Seltmann’s album Heart That’s Pounding just may be one of the albums I wear out over the summer. Time to start getting those spring and summer playlists ready.
Caribouis one of those musicians that is in constant rotation here in the studio. His energetic beats really get the brainwaves going. Well, he has a new one coming out called Swim set to be released at the end of April. The first track has been released with an accompanying trippy video. Enjoy!
It is by watching videos like this that has made me tell my wife on numerous occasions that we should be living in Europe. Not only does Denmark appeal to me because of my ancestral heritage, but because of the reason in this video. A lot of the countries in northern Europe and other like the Netherlands, are making strives to make this a better planet to live on. Why can’t we do this in America instead of people saying they would love to run over some people on bikes? Hmmmmmm.
Video info below:
“This is a video showing Copenhagens unique bicycle culture as it looks in the beginning of the early 21st century.
A monumental motion of everyday people transporting themselves from A to B by pure pedal power.
-Each day 37% of everybody in Copenhagen arrives at work or education by bicycle.
-25% of all families with two kids in the city own a cargo bike.
-And the 519,000 inner city copenhageners own 560,000 bicycles!
This video highlights who Copenhageners are and what they do. I shot it over a period of four months.
Dur: 3 min 26 sec.

Every once and a while a movie comes around that everyone should see. No I am not talking about Avatar or one of the crappy Twilight films. I’m talking about a movie that actually moves you and makes you want to make a difference in a world. The Human Experience looks like it will be one of those. It’s true that sometimes we forget the basic concept that we are all human beings living on the same planet. Instead we fight amongst each other over the dumbest things. The ego is to blame, especially in America where we have the largest egos than anywhere else on the planet. If we put our egos and pride to the side and just try, and I emphasize try, to live by the Golden Rule, imagine how we could turn the world around for the better. But until we put away the need to always have the biggest, to always try to be on top, to always try and be number one, it will never work. So for everyone who wants to argue constantly about health care reform, or anything else that’s minuscule, just because you have something against Republicans or Democrats, conservatives or liberals, I am going to strive to make this world better by concentrating on what’s really important: our neighbors, our relationships, and our planet.
Carrotmobbing. Do you picture what I picture when I see this word? I picture a bunch of angry carrots attacking people on the streets. But this is actually a good thing. Using social media, like-minded folks gather at an establishment that has agreed to give a percentage of sales to environmental causes. Interesting and noble concept.
If you haven’t learned by now, Yeasayer is one of my favorite bands out right now. I will continue to post their videos as long as they are making great music and creative videos. This one is no exception. Enjoy!

I consider Loupe to be a collection. A collection of thoughts. A collection of the best in design, art, and the world that I find on my daily road trip on the net. So sit back, sip on a cup of tea, and enjoy the ride.
